MPS Challenge 9

Yes, I know, I skipped a few in there... For this challenge we had to "Make a shaped card, shaped scrapbook page, or shaped project!" I used a few of my son's birthday pictures and put them in the shape of a 3.

MPS Challenge 5

" Create something for Teacher Appreciation Week OR for someone you appreciate." I made a Thank You card for my Son's teacher.

MPS challenge 4

Challenge 4 was "Make a project using your least favorite or least used cartridge" I used Fablous Findes, I can't remember the last time I used this cart! It's still not my favorite and I had a hard time even picking out something to use on it, but I made it work.

MPS Challenge 3

For this one we had to "Think Outside the Box. Do something on your scrapbook page, card, or other item that you wouldn't normally do. Add something fun or crazy!!" For mine, I used my Cricut Marker which I actually sold these because I never used them, but couldn't find the red one at the time of the sale, so I will be giving this one to the buyer next time I see her :) Also I hand written something, I hardly ever journal on my pages so this was a challenge for me!

2nd MPS Challenge

For our second challenge we had to "Make a project incorporating your scraps!" This one was super simple for me because I have so many scraps of everything! Even the ribbon used was scraps!

MPS Challenge 1 on NSD

Our first challenge was to Make a scrapbook layout, card or other item with your mother or someone dear to you in mind. Here is what I came up with. The inside says "Happy Mother's Day" I made one for my mom and one for my MIL. I used George for the flower and curled the peddles and glimmer misted them as well. Sorry the picture is kind of blurry, I took several and this one was the one that came out the best on this dark gloomy day.

Change in hobby for a while...

Well, I really haven't been in the mood for scrapping lately. I'm not sure why, one of my friends had mentioned that she heard that the average length for a hobby is 7 years, well guess what.. my 7 years is up for scrapping. I don't think I'm done, I just think I need a little bit of a break from it. I found myself just throwing pages together and not even being proud of them. I'm sure I'll still continue developing my pictures as they are on sale, and buying the newest product (I got the G for Christmas)

In the mean time, I have found a new hobby. Crocheting :) I find it so relaxing. So far I have made several wash/dish cloths for practice, then matching Hat, Scarf and fingerless mittens! I'm looking forward to making some sun dresses for my daughter, a new scarf for my oldest son, and something neat (not sure what yet?) for my middle son.

Busy Busy Busy!

Wow, I have been so busy this last 2 weeks! I have so many new layouts to post, but need to take the time to get pictures of them all! Today I spent the entire day scrapping with an old friend of mine, so nice to reconnect with her! That's it for now, hope everyone is getting lots of scrapping in!

Transparency Challenges

I came across 2 different blogs with a Transparency challenge, so I'm going to use this lo for both :) The first blog is Glue, Scissors, Paper and the other blog is Practical Scrappers.

The Transparency, paper and rub-ons are all by Fancy Pants. The pictures are from Devin's 2 year photo shoot at Sears. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Scrapbooks & Stuff

Well, here I am at the last place to stop for the blog hop challenges, I had so much fun the last 2 days being creative and challenged! I really hope you can take the time to participate as well!

Over at Scrapbooks & Stuff our challenge was to use the below LO and use the color pink. I used Pink Cardstock and destressed it by sanding it to make the white core show through. The title is made from American Crafts "Thickers" and patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye-Totally Girl. Enjoy!

Here is the LO

Here is my take

Blog Hop Challenge-The Crafting Pot

Over at The Crafting Pot they wanted us to "kick it old school scrapbook style" pull out those stickers and fiskars scissors! Well, I pulled out the stickers but not the scissors :) Since I couldn't use my cricut to cut a circle, I found a plate and put it flat against the paper and tore around it, then I rounded the corners of the picture and used some old stickers I had for Devin(it takes two) so big/so fast (ek success) and thickers (american crafts) for 18 months. Paper is from my mind's eye-complete boy. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Creative Twist

Over at Creative Twist our challenge was to use the title "Lets get down and dirty" I altered it a bit, but not too far off. I had this noodle paper for ever, finally got some good pictures of Alyssa making a mess eating spaghetti and it worked out perfect for this challenge! I used Zoobaloo for the title and some misc ric rac. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Just Buggin'

Over at Just Buggin' our challenge was to create something with a die cut AND distress it in some way. I used Hello Kitty font for the () and did not distress those, but then I pulled out Mini Monograms and cut out the cute flowers in a few different sizes and crumpled them up then smoothed them out around the corner of my table and used a brad to hold them together. "6 months" is from the Wild Card cart, one of mine that gets overlooked quite often for the font anyway. Paper is My Mind's eye-Totally Girl. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Practical Scrappers

Our challenge over at Practical Scrappers was to make something using a die cut- I used my Hello Kitty carts and made 2 butterflies and the title "Cutie Pie" I also used some rhinestones coming from the butterflies. The paper came from one of my new stacks by My Mind's Eye-Totally Girl. Enjoy!

Peachy Keen Stamps Blog Hop Entry

Here is my entry for the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog hop! Our challenge over there was to create a card with the below LO and include Ribbon. Enjoy!

LO

My Take

3rd Challenge I did today :)

Here is my take of the Chirper Challenge's blog, we had to use the theme "sweet" (I used my daughter) and also include glitter and a stamp (I stamped with glitter) the patterned paper is K&Company Double sided Girl, I folded over the bottom half and sewed it across. "I Adore You" is a rub-on I bought while I was at Scrap Fest last weekend at the Mall of America, along with the acrylic frame I put the one picture in. The stamp is by Autumn Leaves-Talking in circles (girl) and I stamped it in MS Glue and sprinkled MS glitter over it. Enjoy!

Another Blog Hop Item

Well, I skipped numbers 2 and 3, they just did not appeal to me, so I went onto number 4. We had to make something using the colors in the picture, I don't own any Stampin Up! paper, so I just used what I had. I decided to use up some old rub-ons I had and my nesties which I hardly ever pull out to make a fall card. Enjoy!

Colors

Also over at ScrapFiT we were challenged to make a Happy Fall card. I figured since I already made one, I'd hit 2 birds with one stone!

My Take

First stop at the Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone! I decided to do the Fall Blog Hop! Here is my first LO. I decided I was going to challenge myself to use stuff that I haven't used yet. I finally dug out my DCWV Spring Stack and used paper out of that, also used my new DonJuan cart! I love it!
If you would like to join in the blog hop, you can click >>HERE<<. Enjoy!

Family Pictures

We went to Sears the other day to get some family pictures done, and Alyssa's 18 month pictures as well. I wanted to share, these are just the drafts that you get off the site, I can't pick them up until next month, I can't wait to scrap them though!

On another note, I entered Jade's picture in another contest. I posted it on my sidebar, I would really appreciate if you could click on the link and vote for him!

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Here are the Pictures, Enjoy!

Bath Time

This was Alyssa's first bubble bath, she was so into the bubbles, she kept looking and looking at them, it was so cute!

And here is Devin's, he's just always happy in the bath weather there are bubbles or not! Enjoy :)
