Busy Busy Busy!

Wow, I have been so busy this last 2 weeks! I have so many new layouts to post, but need to take the time to get pictures of them all! Today I spent the entire day scrapping with an old friend of mine, so nice to reconnect with her! That's it for now, hope everyone is getting lots of scrapping in!

Transparency Challenges

I came across 2 different blogs with a Transparency challenge, so I'm going to use this lo for both :) The first blog is Glue, Scissors, Paper and the other blog is Practical Scrappers.

The Transparency, paper and rub-ons are all by Fancy Pants. The pictures are from Devin's 2 year photo shoot at Sears. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Scrapbooks & Stuff

Well, here I am at the last place to stop for the blog hop challenges, I had so much fun the last 2 days being creative and challenged! I really hope you can take the time to participate as well!

Over at Scrapbooks & Stuff our challenge was to use the below LO and use the color pink. I used Pink Cardstock and destressed it by sanding it to make the white core show through. The title is made from American Crafts "Thickers" and patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye-Totally Girl. Enjoy!

Here is the LO

Here is my take

Blog Hop Challenge-The Crafting Pot

Over at The Crafting Pot they wanted us to "kick it old school scrapbook style" pull out those stickers and fiskars scissors! Well, I pulled out the stickers but not the scissors :) Since I couldn't use my cricut to cut a circle, I found a plate and put it flat against the paper and tore around it, then I rounded the corners of the picture and used some old stickers I had for Devin(it takes two) so big/so fast (ek success) and thickers (american crafts) for 18 months. Paper is from my mind's eye-complete boy. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Creative Twist

Over at Creative Twist our challenge was to use the title "Lets get down and dirty" I altered it a bit, but not too far off. I had this noodle paper for ever, finally got some good pictures of Alyssa making a mess eating spaghetti and it worked out perfect for this challenge! I used Zoobaloo for the title and some misc ric rac. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Just Buggin'

Over at Just Buggin' our challenge was to create something with a die cut AND distress it in some way. I used Hello Kitty font for the () and did not distress those, but then I pulled out Mini Monograms and cut out the cute flowers in a few different sizes and crumpled them up then smoothed them out around the corner of my table and used a brad to hold them together. "6 months" is from the Wild Card cart, one of mine that gets overlooked quite often for the font anyway. Paper is My Mind's eye-Totally Girl. Enjoy!

Blog Hop Challenge-Practical Scrappers

Our challenge over at Practical Scrappers was to make something using a die cut- I used my Hello Kitty carts and made 2 butterflies and the title "Cutie Pie" I also used some rhinestones coming from the butterflies. The paper came from one of my new stacks by My Mind's Eye-Totally Girl. Enjoy!

Peachy Keen Stamps Blog Hop Entry

Here is my entry for the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog hop! Our challenge over there was to create a card with the below LO and include Ribbon. Enjoy!

LO

My Take

3rd Challenge I did today :)

Here is my take of the Chirper Challenge's blog, we had to use the theme "sweet" (I used my daughter) and also include glitter and a stamp (I stamped with glitter) the patterned paper is K&Company Double sided Girl, I folded over the bottom half and sewed it across. "I Adore You" is a rub-on I bought while I was at Scrap Fest last weekend at the Mall of America, along with the acrylic frame I put the one picture in. The stamp is by Autumn Leaves-Talking in circles (girl) and I stamped it in MS Glue and sprinkled MS glitter over it. Enjoy!

Another Blog Hop Item

Well, I skipped numbers 2 and 3, they just did not appeal to me, so I went onto number 4. We had to make something using the colors in the picture, I don't own any Stampin Up! paper, so I just used what I had. I decided to use up some old rub-ons I had and my nesties which I hardly ever pull out to make a fall card. Enjoy!

Colors

Also over at ScrapFiT we were challenged to make a Happy Fall card. I figured since I already made one, I'd hit 2 birds with one stone!

My Take

First stop at the Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone! I decided to do the Fall Blog Hop! Here is my first LO. I decided I was going to challenge myself to use stuff that I haven't used yet. I finally dug out my DCWV Spring Stack and used paper out of that, also used my new DonJuan cart! I love it!
If you would like to join in the blog hop, you can click >>HERE<<. Enjoy!

Here is the sketch

Family Pictures

We went to Sears the other day to get some family pictures done, and Alyssa's 18 month pictures as well. I wanted to share, these are just the drafts that you get off the site, I can't pick them up until next month, I can't wait to scrap them though!

On another note, I entered Jade's picture in another contest. I posted it on my sidebar, I would really appreciate if you could click on the link and vote for him!

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Here are the Pictures, Enjoy!

This is my little Devin at about 2 months old, just learning to smile :) Gosh I miss him this little!

On another note, I'm super excited, I was able to purchase 3 new carts last week and they should be here any day now. I got Stand & Salute, Simply Sweet and Jubilee! I'm scrapping all day on Sunday so I hope to have some new fresh stuff to post. Enjoy the weekend :)

This was Alyssa's first bubble bath, she was so into the bubbles, she kept looking and looking at them, it was so cute!

And here is Devin's, he's just always happy in the bath weather there are bubbles or not! Enjoy :)

Son Shine

I don't know why, but I just love this picture of Devin! Lately I've been calling him my Son shine because of how happy he's been. I used some stamps for "son" that I got on clearance at Wal-Mart, and Thickers for "shine". I got the idea for the buttons in the son from an ad I got from Archivers a long time ago. Enjoy :)

4 Months

Here is my DD at 4 months, I had these pictures done at Sears. She is 17 months old now, I can't believe how much she has grown!

It's all about Eeyore!

My sister in law gave me this outfit for Alyssa, it was so cute! It had a big eeyore on it and says "it's all about eeyore" so I had to make a lo with it!Alyssa is just about to turn 2 months here I used the pooh font cart for the eeyore and font. Enjoy!

Baby Love

I did this one a while back, it was a challenge to sew on your layout. I didn't have a sewing machine yet so I hand stitched at the top. Alyssa was only 2 weeks old here. Enjoy :)

Mother's Day 09

As you can see, I only have 2 of the 3 kids with me, I don't know why, but every year in Minnesota, they make fishing opener the same weekend as Mother's day.. NOT FAIR! So my oldest is with Dad fishing, I did get a video text though of him saying Happy Mother's day Mom, I love you! It was so sweet! I took the other 2 to DQ for some Ice cream treats. It was my daughter's first Star Kist! As you can see, she enjoyed it very much!

SK8

Here is a fun one of Jade, he had been asking for a skateboard for so long, he finally ended up getting one for Christmas, but of course, he couldn't use it until summer. This was his first time out on it. I've fallen in love with Thickers, that's what the title is made out of. I just wish they were a little cheaper! Enjoy!

I painted my Cuddlebug!

I decided since I painted my ATG, my E and a craft storage thing, I may as well paint my cuddlebug too! What's going to be next? I had to buy a new can of paint so I have plenty left!

All taped up and ready to be painted!

All done being painted, I just need to take the tape off now!

Here it is all done! I there is still a little green on the inside, that's because I taped over that metal roller because I wanted to make sure I didn't get any paint in there. I'm OK with that though, I love how it turned out! I still need to buy some bling for it and my E.

Ripley's Believe it or Not!

Summer of 2007, Ripley's came to town! It was so hot out that day and we were debating even going to watch, but we though it was probably a once in a lifetime thing so we packed the kids up and went anyway. Chad Netherland was there, he was attempting to hold 2 airplanes from taking off! He did it! Enjoy!

So excited with my M's find!

Thomas: A circus comes to town!

I was fortunate enough to win tickets to see Thomas Live on stage this summer threw the local radio station. I didn't know what to expect, but when we got there and seen the stage, I knew the kids were going to have a great time! Here are all 3 of the kid's layouts I made. Enjoy!

She's Painted!!!

Well, I got my E painted yesterday, I just need to get up to M's to get some pretties for it. I got my instructions HERE Here are my pictues, it's really a darker purple than the camera shows.. for some reason, my camera doesn't take a very good picture on purples... Enjoy!

Yummy!

On this one, I tried something new, Martha Stewart came out with a glue stamp pad, you add glue to it, then you just simply put your stamp in it and stamp a glue image on your project, then you can glitter it. I tried it here, it was a huge mess and I really didn't like how it turned out, but oh well.... I still like the pictures of my DD while eating spaghetti! Enjoy!

4th of July

I got most of my 4th of July pictures done, I thought I had them all, but I can't seem to find the firework ones? Hmmm, Maybe I'll look into that later today :)

Enjoy!

SOCCER SOCCER SOCCER!!!

So, I finally took pictures of all my layouts I've been working on so instead of posting them individually, I will be posting them by catigory, that way I can share all of them and it won't take so long!

So today, I will be sharing my son's soccer layouts from this spring :)

Hit up some Garage Sales yesterday!

So DH and I decided to go to some Garage Sales yesterday, boy am I happy with my finds! I got a storage thingie for $1, a CTMH set for $5, some random block stamps (not picutred) for .50 each, then we stopped at my LSS who was having a sidewalk sale and I picked up another stamp set by Cosmo Crickit for $2.99, and they had the Drippy Goo punch in! I was able to use my %40 coupon! Yippee! I'm happy! Now to find some time to scrap again!

My storage thingie, it was gray, but I painted it right when I got home :)

As Promised....

Here is my friend's wedding album I made for her! I'm so happy with the way it turned out! I think since I forgot to bring it up north last weekend, I may try to find a picture of her and I and make just 1 more page for the end of the book, but we'll see. I didn't use the traditional wedding paper and embilishments because I want her to be able to do that when she decides to make her own. All paper is from the DCVW Latte Stack, all embilishments came from a pack I bought from Sam's some time back (you can read more about HERE) and I'm pretty sure all the layouts came from my friend's site scrapsketch Thanks Steph for all the awesome layout ideas you give us every week!

Just a quick update

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a great summer! We sure are, even though the weather hasn't been the best. We've been having date nights and going to lots of plays and also bringing the oldest to the stock car races every week, tonight is the bus and trailor races, we can't wait! I have quite a few new layouts done, just need to take pictures of them and get them posted one of these days!

I took a trip up north last weekend and was going to bring my friend her wedding album for her anniversary, but got so flustered and in a rush to leave, forgot it, uggg... So, not sure the next time I will be heading up. I might just take some good pictures and e-mail them to her and tell her I will give it to her next time I'm up.

It's Finished!

Sorry I have been MIA for some time now! It's been a busy summer with not too much time to scrap. I did get a chance to scrap almost all day yesterday though and was able to finish up my friend's wedding album! YAY! I'm really happy with how it turned out. I will be heading up north next weekend and will give it to her then. I haven't gotten a chance to take the pics of the rest of the pages, but will do that soon. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day with friends and family!

We are getting ready to take the kids to the parade, then after that there is a car show, then we will come home and bbq and let the kids play in the pool and sprinkler, then off to the fireworks!

Shower Games

I didn't have many pictures of the Wedding shower, so I made 1 lo of the games and 1 of the gifts. Here is the one of the Games. We had to make a wedding dress out of TP! It was a blast! Enjoy :)

Wedding Album

So a few weeks ago, I posted a poll about making a scrapbook album for my friend's 5th wedding anniversary. Well, I got lots of responses and decided to go for it! I'm going to use the Latte stack for all the paper and the scrapbooking kit I bought at Sam's some time ago. I am also leaving a spot for her to journal on every page. This is not going to be the typical wedding album as I wanted her to be able to do that with the album she is going to make. I've been having a blast making these pages! Here is my first LO that I'm going to share. It's the night before the wedding and we are decorating the Hall for the reception. I will post another one hopefully tomorrow!

New Layout

Here is a new layout I whipped up quick today, just really simple no title yet, but wanted to post it anyway. This is Alyssa on her 1st birthday. I had just gotten a new camera and was playing with the color splash feature.

Went Shopping!

I got a chance to go out of town yesterday to get some scrapping shopping in, wow, did I ever have a great time! My friend Steph brought me to Crafts Direct holy cow, that place is huge! I found a lot of stuff there including the new swiss dots border punch! I got to use a M's 40% coupon on it and I had another coupon 20% off your entire order so I got to use that on all my stuff too!

There was a Big Lots a few blocks away so we stopped there too and I found a really cute sesame street border punch for only $2 and some Thickers for $2 a pack. I have just started to get into those.

Next was J's, my mission there was to get soccer felt for Jade's blanket which I found the cutest print, I was so excited! And also I wanted the DCWV Summer stacks so I got the regular one and the patterned card stock one. They also had there paper 6 for 96 cents! That was a shocker, it wasn't in the ad so I stocked up on card stock there too.

Then we drove another hour to Archivers I found a few things there. Didn't really go there looking for anything specific though.

We headed to a really good Mexican place for dinner, I had a steak burrito and holy cow that thing was big! I couldn't even eat it all, but it was sooo good!

Next we started heading home, we got almost half way and she told me about this store where she had gone to a retreat at and it was only like 5 minutes out of our way so we decided to go, it was already 8pm, but figured what the hey, I ended up finding more thickers and a few other things, they were having a "Happy Birthday" retreat in the back because it was the stores 1 year anniversary the ladies there were so nice and they showed us lots of new things. I got to finally see a slice in action. Still not quite too sure about it, it's so tiny and can't cut things very big. The fonts and such are really cute, but I think I'm going to stick with my Cricut for now :)

We finally pulled in the driveway at 11pm. Overall I had a wonderful day and found everything that I had on my list!

Happy Memorial Day!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day weekend! We were going to go camping this year, the entire family, but then noticed that it was supposed to drop down into the 40's at night and that's just too cold for the 2 babies so we decided to just stay home. Yesterday I spent the entire day scrapping. I got a few layouts done, nothing fancy, I just haven't been very creative lately.Today we took the kids to the parade, it was nice and short, only about 45 minutes long, thankfully because the rain clouds are coming in and the temp is dropping.

I wanted to share this layout I did a while ago titled "Kids at Play" My Best friend who lives 3 hours away from me met us half way at Mc Donalds so the kids could play and we could catch up.

Well, that's all for now, I'm going to head to my scrapping table and see if I can get a few pages done between doing laundry!

Happy Natonal Scrapbook Day

I will not be doing any scrapping today, we are taking the kids to the twin cities to go watch Thomas and Friends and Chuckie Cheese! I'm really looking forward to it! Of course I'll be hitting a Joann's while we are down there for some shopping! I hope everyone has a great day today and gets lots of scrapping done!

Changed my mind!

Well, in my last post, I said I wouldn't get much scrapping done durring the summer. I got to thinking about it, and it's my stress reliever. I can't give it up for the summer. I decided to sit and scrap all day yesterday by myself (I normally don't do that, usually I need someone to scrap with in order to get anything done) Well, I finished up close to 10 layouts yesterday! Yahoo! And I'm still kind of in the mood so might do some more today. I haven't gotten a chance to take any pictures yet, but I will so I can start to get them posted.

I also created a poll on my blog, I will take into concideration all feedback because if I decide to do this, it will end up being a huge project. I bought a kit thing from Sam's some time ago that all matches and it's Purple, that was her main color in the wedding, so I won't have to buy too much stuff, just finding the time to get it all done is going to be the tricky part!

Award Ceremony

Here is the page I did for Jade's cub scout scrapbook, it's his first award ceremony they had. The pictures show him getting a few different things and him and his friend Cole being the silly boys they are! This is going to be my last scrapbook layout for a while. Summer is comming and I will be spending more time outside with the kids than I will be inside scrapping. I'm hoping to try to scrap at least one full day a month, but we'll see how that goes!

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Heading off to School

Here is Jade's first day of 1st grade, I used locker talk for the cricut cuts and the gradeschool stack for the paper.

I haven't been in the most creative mood lately. I'm planning a trip to the Twin Cities in about a month, hopefully by then I'll feel more in the mood. They have way more scrap stores down there than we have up here.

I hope everyone is enjoying spring! We had 77* and sunny weather here Friday and today was 33* and snowing!

Monster Truck Show

I took Jade last night to see the Monster truck show, here is a picture I took of the both of us before the show started.

Here's a good shot of the "Ride and Glide" Team, they are BMX riders, and wow are they good! This guy jumped over another guy on his bike!

Jade watching the show. Doesn't he just look so excited to be there! ha ha

Here is the "Havoc" and the "Mechanical Mischife" in action!

And last but not least, Jade at the end of line from getting his checkered flag autographed from all the drivers and BMX riders from the show! I think that was his favorite out of the entire thing!

We had a great time and it was nice to have Mom and Jade time too!

A couple Christmas Layouts

Here are a couple Christmas layouts of Alyssa, this first one was Christmas Eve, that's when we do Christmas at our house. This layout came from my "Idea Deck" I never did get to actually making a title for it, but it's pretty busy as it is (as with most layouts from that deck).

This next one was Christmas morning after Santa came. She had so much fun taking all of her stuff out of her stocking!

Babies 1st Halloween

Here's my little girl's first Halloween! She was a little bumbe bee, she was so cute! I'm pretty sure I used Pooh font for the title and DCWV Halloween stack for all the paper. Thanks for looking!

Dream Sweet Baby Dream

Here is my little Alyssa snoozing :) Simple LO, not much to say about it.

On another note, our Easter was great, we went to MIL's for lunch/dinner, it was excelant! After we got home, I was heading out to wal-greens to pick up some pictures and I stepped wrong on my foot, ended up going into Urgent care today and come home with a sprained anckle diagnosis, I have an ASO brace on for a few weeks and they sent me home with crutches just in case I need them. Apparently if you are limping in anyway at all, you should use them, but they are such a pain in the butt! I have to "take it easy" for a while, but with 3 kids, it's kind of hard to!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with family and friends!

Another simple layout (I'm starting to like these ones they get done so fast!) This is My Alyssa playing with her new "princess" Hat.

Here is my "monke boy" Devin eating his favorite Fruit Banana. The paper and letters are from the DCWV Animal Cracker.

It's been a while AGAIN!

Things have been pretty crazy around here, I've gotten quite a bit of scrapping done over the last few weeks, but just now got to taking pics of them all so over the next few days I'll be posting a little at a time :)

The one I'm going to do today is titled "winter fun" It's of my first son Jade and his first time sledding, I know I've scrapped these pics before, but that was before the cricut :) I used SYI to make the snowflake boarder.

The 2nd one here is nothing fancy, just put some pics down on some fancy paper. Not much room for anything on paper like this. DD Alyssa playing.

Canon Powershot

I've been wanting to get a new camera for a while now. My mom was down for the weekend for Alyssa's birthday so I got to play with hers and decided that I really liked it so we headed up to Best Buy to see if they had any left. They did and I just bought it, I knew that if I himmed and hawed about it that I would talk myself out of it. It's the Canon Powershot SD790 IS. I LOVE it! My favorite feature is the color splash feature, it's so easy to do! I'm really looking forward to learning more about it and taking some great shots of my kids!

Alyssa's Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Alyssa's 1st birthday party, it was a lot of fun and we had plenty of guests come and enjoy the day with us! She got lots of nice summer cloths and a few toys. She really enjoyed her "smash cake"

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Alyssa is ALMOST 1!

I got her 1 year old pics done this week, they turned out soooo adorable! Here are my favorites. Her Birthday is Friday, but we are having her party on Saturday, I will for sure post pics this hopefully this weekend!

New Toys!

I got my order from Hallmark Scrapbook today! I got the Pink BIA and some rings! I can't wait to start using this one! I also got the pink wire cutters that matches, they are so cute! I bought Bags, tags, boxes and more, since it's become popular again LOL I scored that on the 29.99 sale they were having.

I also finished up Alyssa's 1 year birthday invites! I took pictures, but they all turned out so bad! I think I need to start saving for a new camera! I'll show it anyway, the inside has a picture of her and says "come celebrate with us"

Little Animal

Here is a LO I did a couple weekends ago, I didn't get a chance to post it yet. It's pretty plain, but I used my new animal cracker chipboard set for the "little animal" and the flurish. I don't know if you can see it, but on his but there is a monkey so I thought it fit well.

I make Alyssa's 1st birthday invations today and got some pictures, but Devin got away with my camera and I have no clue where it is right now! I'll post pictures when I find it!

It's been a while

Hi all, it's been a while since I've had time to post, I've had to switch my work shift for a few weeks because of a medical reason for the person that works the day shift. She's back now so hopefully I'll be updating more often!

We had a great valentine's date! We went to Applebees for dinner, we got right in, no waiting! I had Orange chicken and Shane had a steak, then off to our play, it was sooo funny! I love going there. The play was called "Wonder of the World"

The next day Jade had bowling with the cub scouts, we live right next to the bowling alley so we just walked over, it was his first time bowling ever and he had a blast! He got 53 on his first game and 78 on his second.

After bowling, we headed up to Grampa Jim's to meet DH, DS, and DD and the rest of the family for "Gift Day" the kids all played for a couple hours and we headed home.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Very Happy Valentine's Day!

Update on the kids, Jade and Devin seem to be doing MUCH better, Alyssa had a fever all night even on Motrin, she started feeling a little better by morning but is still very tired and not quite herself yet. Hopefully by tomorrow she'll be feeling better.

3 sick kids And Alyssa's 11 Months old!

Sorry I have not posted much in the last few days, all 3 of my kids are not feeling well, I kept Jade home from School on Monday, Tuesday was a snow day and Wednesday I ended up getting a call to come get him early, that night I brought him into Urgent Care to make sure he didn't have Strep since it has been going around in his school/class, that came back negative which was nice to know. Thursday Devin woke up with a fever and a caugh, I was able to get him into the clinic for a quick check up, I was worried he had an ear infection since earlier in the day I seen some yellow-greenish stuff come out of one of his ears, they looked good though. Today Friday, Alyssa woke up with a caugh and a fever. Yay, 3 sick kids, so needless to say, I haven't gotten too much done with all of them being crabby! Oh well, it was an excuse for me to go out and buy us all icecream!

I hope everyone else is feeling well!

Tomorrow night, Valentine/Date night with hubby, no matter what! Grampa is coming over to watch the kids!

Here is a pic of Jade I took at Urgent Care

Alyssa turned 11 Months old on the 6th, she's still my little peanut! I'm not sure how much she weighs right now, but she still fits in 6-9 month cloths! I'm hoping by summer months she'll be in 12 months because that's what size summer cloths I've been buying for her! She still mostly army crawls, but she's been finally starting to actually crawl, I don't even think she relizes she's doing it though! She started picking herself up on furnature, just the smaller things like her leap frog table and her excersauser, she's so short that the couch is too high for her to grab and pull up on! Oh and she still doesn't have any teeth either!

Some Jade LO's

It's been a while since I've posted any layouts of Jade so here are a few that I did I think last week. One of them is pictures from a couple years ago at the Monster Truck show, the other one is a trip "home" and we always make time to meet some friends at Mc Donalds.

Another Alyssa LO and Order info!

Here is another LO of my sweet baby girl Alyssa, I think these were her 8 month pictures. I didn't use any cricut on it yet, not sure if I want to leave it untitled or not, I got the chipboard flowers on clearance at Target. The LO design came from my Idea deck. Speaking of that, DH bought me the 2nd Idea deck for Valentine's Day! What a sweetie!

I just ordered a bunch of new DCWV stacks from Joan.com, I got The Green Stack, Green chipboard shapes, Animal Crackers, Animal cracker chipboard, Whimsy, Latte, Citrus, All About Boys, Safari-Chic, Garden Party, Nana's Kitchen, Blossom & Butterflies, Baby girl nursery, and baby boy nursery! I think I'm set for paper now for some time! I was planning on getting all of these in the twin cities in April, but J's has a free shipping code, and the stacks were all on sale so I couldn't wait!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Birthday Cake

Well, I've finally got 1 page done for Devin's 2nd birthday that was back in November! I'm hoping to get started on the next ones this weekend. This was his birthday cake and us singing to him. He had a Mickey Mouse Birthday. I believe this sketch was one of Okie's sketch challenges too.

I won a RAK!

I won a RAK over that the Cricut MB last week and recieved it today, It is an Obama journal, I'm pretty sure she used SCAL to cut it out, it's pretty neat! Thanks cardmkrLeslie!

Another Cousins LO

Here is another Cousins one, this is Devin and his cousin Brooke, they were born only 3 months apart, when I showed DH this one, he couldn't believe how much they really looked alike! I used Nana's kids for the bug paper and I had these little bug brads that I thought would be perfect! TFL!

Every year we get all the cousins together for a picture for the grand parents, I posted just the pictures earlier. Well, I finally got a chance to scrap my 5x7 after it sat in the diaper bag for some time and got a little water on it. opps! I used Storybook for the title and flourish. The kids are in order from oldest 13 to youngest 10 months. Thanks for looking!

Paper Give Away!

A poor worker at Paper Trunk was left behind while the others went to CHA! So she is being sneaky and doing a paper giveaway!! GO check it out! PAPER TRUNK PAPER GIVEAWAY!

Ribbon Storage

I got this idea from the ribbon rings or something like that, I made it out on DS and cut it out of chipboard, then bought the rings at my LSS. I have them hanging on 3M hooks I bought at Wal Mart and they are inside my cabnet. I like it, but it seems like it's a little hard to get just the one that I want, maybe it's just the way I designed it, I don't know, I'm not sure how long I'll keep it like this, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

Close up

And last, I bought these round cloths pins from M's and wraped my ribbon around them, I kinda like this idea better than hanging them, it just seems like it's easier to get to them and they travel better! But I ran out of them so I'll have to leave the hanging ones that way until I can get more. I still have lots of ribbon on spools too that I just have in a mini crate for now.

Decorating Cookies with Grandma!

This is my DS Devin, He's helping Grandma decorate her gingerbread men cookies, he had so much fun! Grandma took the pics and I was quite suprised on how well she did! LOL, she just got a new didgi camera, she used to use a film camera so she takes a lot more pics now so gets better shots which of course is a good thing! I got the sketch from my Idea deck. The paper is from a Christmas stack I have and the gingerbread men I believe are from SYI and decorated with stickles. Thanks for looking!

I've Been Tagged!

I have been tagged by our talented and lovey Sandy from Ukiah, how fun, thank you Sandy. I have never been tagged before, but what I understand is I have to go to my pictures and look in the 6th folder and post the 6th picture and explain it. So here it is: This is my only DD durring our monthly photo shoot, she just turned 4 months old here. Not the best picture that I took that day :) I am to pick 6 friends that visit my blog that I would like to get to know better.

not sure about this one

Here is yet another one of okie's challenges! ha ha, I'm almost done, just in time for her to post another one! LOL I wasn't too sure about this one when I seen the sketch, but I think it turned out OK. I can't remember if the paper came from the DCVW fall stack or summer stack, but I'm guessing the Fall stack. I know it still needs something, but I got sick of looking at it so I put it away for now.

Pure Joy

Here is another one of Okie's challenges! I'm finally starting to get caught up, yay! This is my Devin, he was just a few months old here, I used my new Sesame Street font for the title. The embelishments are from Target, I found them in the card section and thought they were super cute! Thanks for looking!

Meeting Grampa

I did this LO the other night, it was one of Okie's sketches she has posted on her blog, I used OA for the title and NA for the sailboat. This was the first time Devin met Grampa.

Sick!

Well, I had planned on getting some scrapping done this weekend with all my new things I bought last weekend, but that didn't happen. Thursday night, my oldest DS came in our bedroom at about 3am saying he had gotten sick all over his bed. I got him cleaned up and a bed made on the couch for the night, Friday he was just fine. About half way threw the day on Saturday my middle kid was taking a nap in our bed and DH went in to check on him and he had gotten sick in his sleep, all over our bed! He was sick for a few hours and right when he was finally done puking, DH and I started in taking turns in the bathroom. ICK! We had gotten all settled in on the couch and lazyboy and about 11:30 ish I woke up to DD crying, I went to check on her, and she had gotten sick! I got her cleaned up and settled back in the lazyboy with her, she woke up a few times getting sick, but by about 2am she was finally done. We were all pretty lazy this morning heasitant to eat anything, but now that evening came we all were able to eat supper and are feeling much better! I'm off work tomorrow so maybe I'll be able to get a few things done. I do have 1 LO to show, but too tired to get up and take pictures!

70-flocked alphabet stickers
90-scrapbooking flowering frenzy
4-framed in felt
4-memory plaques
4-scrapbooking metal tiles
10 feet round about ribbons
4-wooden stamps

WOW!

Boy oh boy did I spend a lot of money on scrapbooking stuff this weekend! I bought a new cabnet thing to hold it all, it's oak,$70. I went to my LSS $40, Micheals $60, J's online $37, e-bay 2 carts $85, sam's club $30, the tape depot $61. holy macro! I wanted to take a picture of a lot of it, but I had to get it put away before little fingers got a hold of it. I should be good for a while now though! I need to start saving for my trip to Archivers in April!

My blog candy

well, since no one was able to do the layout I had posted, I've decided I'm going to donate the goodies I had up to my son's school. I picked up a ton more stuff today to throw in the box too, but oh well. "sigh" Maybe I'll try blog candy again in a few weeks, maybe I won't.

No Scrapping today

Well, I didn't get any scrapping done today, I had to drive "home" for a funeral. One of my mom's best friends passed away on the 1st of January, they still don't know the cause. It was a very sad day today.

On another note, last night before I went to bed, I decided to check e-bay quick for the Sesame Street Font Cartridge and found one that was ending in 3 minutes going for only 46.00, so I checked out the seller quick and they had 100% feedback so I jumped on it. I put in a max bid of 49.00 and ended up winning it for 47.01 with free shipping! Then just about 5 minutes ago, I finally bit the bullet and buy an ATG!!!! YAHOO! I've been wanting one of these for so long! I went with the Tape depot one since it was cheaper and the reviews are good, and got 24 rolls of tape so I should be set for a while!

Tomorrow I'm planning on heading out to Sam's Club to see if they have anything new and interesting. I hope I find some good stuff!

Your Love is Priceless

I made this card for DH for Valentine's day. I used the Hearts cuddlebug embossing folder and embossed the heart cut out of George. the "your love is" is from opposites attract and "priceless" is from graphically speaking. It was also a challenge from the cuttlebug spot. You can read more about that HERE . Thanks for looking!

Word Book: BABY

One of my friends is having a baby boy so I decided I would finally give a word book a try. This is my first one, it took a little messing around with on DS, but I got it! I used a baby boy stack my mom had givin to me for the designed paper, I have no idea what the name of it is called though. I used Mickey Font for the letters. I don't have a BIA yet so I just used my CAD to punch holes and tied it all together with some baby boy ribbon. Now that I know how easy they are to make, I have a feeling I will be making many more! I will have to go buy some 12x24 mats so I can make bigger ones! Thanks for looking!

5 LO's done! Yay!

I got a full day of scrapping in yesterday and mannaged to finish uo 5 pages! Thats pretty good for me since I have 3 kids bugging me all day too! Comments always welcome!

Aqua Kid. My mom took Jade for a week over summer break and her friend has a pool that he lived in that week! these are just a few shots my mom took of him playing. I believe font is Plantin Schoolbook.

Shine. This is Alyssa just days before Christmas, we had these lights hanging over our doorway in the livingroom and she was always playing with them so I set up a little photo session of my own to get some cute shots of her. I used my new storybook cart and the MS glitter I found at WM for $2.20 a bottle! Its a mess, but it looks so nice! I also used Christmas Cheer for the light bulbs.

Sweet Girl. Here is my baby girl Alyssa playing in the laundry basket! She loves it in there! I got to use my new Graphically speaking cart on this one. I am going to love that cart, there is so much on it! The journaling says "Life isn't a matter of milestones, but of moments"

Goof balls. Jade had some goofy things in his goodie bags for his birthday so we decieded to have some fun with them!

Self Portrait. Sometimes I let Jade take my camera, well this day he took some pictures of himself! They are so cute, I just had to scrap them! I used Going Places for the camera and the "smile".

Don't forget about my challenge with some Blog Candy!

I have finally gotten a chance to take a picture of everything you can win! There is still some room in the box so I may add more throughout the week. I will have DS draw a random name on January 9th. All you have to do is complete the sketch and post it to your blog, if you don't have a blog that's OK too. Just comment and let me know where I can see your finished LO. You can also get your name in the drawing by linking this challenge to your blog! You can read more about it and see the Sketch HERE

Happy New Year!

I wanted to wish all my readers a Happy New Year! May 2009 bring you Health and Happiness!

9 Months

I had a few minutes this morning to put together a LO for Alyssa's 9 month pictures. I believe the sketch came from pagemaps, but I actually got it from a challenge that was posted, you can read about that HERE I used Bazzil paper for the backround and the designed paper is from the 2008 DCWV summer stack. I think the ribbon is just stuff from the dollar spot at Target. I used George for the sign and font and the circle. I also used Skittles for some embilishments. And yes I know I missed the H in Months! I have fixed it :)

Thanks for looking! Comments always welcome :)

2009 Calandar

I'm almost done with this now, so I thought it is time to share! All I need to do is send some pics into walgreens to get them developed and glue them in. This will be going to my mom for Christmas.

Diamond fold Mini Scrapbooks

I seen these really cute Diamond Fold scrapbooks today and had to try them! They will be perfect for my Grandma for Christmas, this is the kind of stuff she likes and she likes things simple too so I didn't put a whole lot into them. I made 3, one for each child using their favorite color. Here is a link to a youtube video that explains how to make them. You will be suprised on how easy they are!

Here is the front and back to Alyssa's, Hers was the first one I did so I ended up putting it together wrong, but it still works, just the front cover is in the wrong spot when you have it open, but when you close it it's correct.

This is the front and back of Devin's

The front and back of Jade's

Sears Pictues

Well, today we had pictures at Sears with all the cousin's/Grand kids, there are only 6 all together, but it was so much fun and the lady was so creative! We didn't do a Chrismtas theme because some members of our family don't celebrate that holiday so we just left it a general theme so that all can enjoy. We have Dustin (13) Jade (6) Adrea (5) Brooke (2) Devin (2) Alyssa (9 months)

The kids were suposed to be going back and forth in this one, but you know kids! This is what we got :) It's still adorable!

They call this one "The bird's eye view" It's fun, but the only thing is that someone is alyways going to be upside down, so it's hard to display.

I love this one, All the kids are smiling exept Alyssa, this was the first one they took and Alyssa started crying the second I put her down! Go figure!

Idea Deck!!!

Well, DH gave me one of my presents early this year since I knew what it was anyway :) I got the Idea deck from Club Scrap! I love this thing!

I want to put out a challenge to all of you, I have scanned the 2 of hearts, it's only a 1 star so it is super simple. I want you to use this sketch and creat a LO. You can click the image to make it larger. Comment here and you will be entered into a RAK. I will have my DS Draw a name sometime the first week of January. I want to give plenty of time since I know everyone is really busy this time of year. I'll be going shopping for some goodies by then too and will post what I find as soon as I buy it :) I hope to see some creative things! Don't forget to have fun with it! Please also feel free to link this to your blog so others can join!

Jade had his 2nd Christmas concert yesterday, he had so much fun! He was chosen to play the bells for one of the songs, I was so proud of him! Last year he was so shy and it took a lot to get him to participate in things, now this year, he is always raising his hand wanting to participate. His grade sang 3 songs and also did a Tickle dance. The entire program lasted about an hour and a half. It was really enjoyable watching all the kids sing. I'm looking forward to the spring concert!

SNOW-We got lots this year!

It started snowing pretty early the morning of December 14th, I didn't think to take a picture of the snow we had before this storm, but lets just say, you could still see the grass poking threw. I took the daytime picture at about 12:30 in the afternoon, it was still comming down pretty good there. By later that evening it had let up a lot so dh decided he'd go out and snow blow so we could get out the next morning. That's the night time picture I have posted. The news channel said we got between 10-12 inches, we had about 2 foot snow drifts in our yard. Needless to say, the kids were psyched to go out and play! Now if it would just warm up!

What's New?

We had our team Christmas party at work on Friday, the person I had wasn't able to make it due to personal reasons, but she only lives a few blocks away from me so I delivered it to her myself. She had a blast opening all the smaller gifts and was happy with all the snowman things I had gotten for her. Then she started opening the candles, I had wraped them indvidually so they didn't scratch eachother, she opened the "Y" first and said "does this spell JOY?" She LOVED them! She seemed very happy with them which made me feel happy. It's so hard to buy things for people you really don't know.

As for scrapping, I've been working on a calander to give this year, I'm still not sure who I want to give it to yet, I'll probably decide last minute. I just finished up July last night, I will post all the pages when I'm completly done.

We are under a blizzard warning, I guess we are suposed to get up to 12 inches of snow! It's pretty warm out, well warmer than it has been, yesterday we hit 30* when last week, we were hitting -30*.

Well, I had better get to the kiddos, they are all at my feet telling me they are hungry! I hope everyone has a

Secret Santa Gift

Well, I decided to do the Secret Santa this year at work, I didn't do it last year and felt kind of left out becaues I still had to go in for the meeting and everyone was opening all their stuff and I just sat there like a bump on a log. Anyway, I submitted my sheet and my supervisor drew for me since I work at home, and who do I get? The person I dis-like the most on my entire team! Oh well, I made the best out of it. I went to the dollar store to get her a few smaller gifts and picked up some candles too to try melting pictures in them. I decided to do the word "JOY" and embilished it a little with ribbon and some flowers. For the very first time me doing this, it didn't turn out too bad! I also bought her a 3 tier candle holder so she can put the candles on it if she chooses to. That all together is her "big gift" I hope she likes it, she said she likes candles so...

update on Alyssa

Well, this morning we woke up with a 100.6 fevor, which isn't too bad, I did give her some motrin though to help with the ear pain which took the fevor away as well. After dropping Jade off at school, we ventured out to target and the dollar store to get a few things. She did real well today until right after supper, she started getting crabby so I took her temp, and it's up to 100.5 so I gave her more motrin to help her sleep, within 15 minutes of that she was konked out.

some new layouts

Here are a few LO's that I've done in the last few weeks! Sorry I have not posted in a while, life just got busy! I'm sure you all know how that goes!
Well, blogger split up the pictures, but this is half of my youngest DS after we "carved" pumpkins this year, pretty simple, the bats are from PPDU.

This is also my youngest DS, he was only like 2 months here. Just a random LO for the day. No cricut

Here he is again, these were his 2 year pictures done at Sears, I still need to journal on the tag

Here is the second half of DS's layouts from this years halloween

Happy Birthday Jade! This is the first LO I have done for his birthday this year. I'm hoping I can get the others done soon! He had a Transformer birthday party.

Here is my oldest DS "carving" pumplkins this year. We decided not to actually carve them this year so we bought the things that you just pop in. The kids had a blast! We changed them up a few times before halloween! I used SYI for the pumpkins

Here is my DD, these pictues were taken by my oldest. He loves taking pictures of the babies! I did this one a while ago, so I can't really remember what carts the cuts came from, sorry!

Here's my baby girl, this was one of her 3 month pictures from Sears. It's just a simple LO pretty much just to get the 8x10 on paper so I can put it in her book.

This is Jade and Devin for Christmas 2006 visiting Santa at the Miller Hill Mall, the font is the new Calligriphy from M's.

Here is DS on halloween, he dressed up as Tigger, I used Tigger Font for the baby Tigger and the words, he was such a cutie! Once he relized that people where putting candy in his bucket he had a blast!

Alyssa is 9 months old!

Well, my baby girl turned 9 months old yesterday, I took our normal picutures with her and ragidy ann, I'm glad I took them yesterday, today she woke up burning up, I took her temp and it was 103.9! I gave her some motrin and it started going down within a half hour, but just 3 short hours later it was back up over 103 so I took her to the ER. There we found that she has at least 1 ear infection, they couldn't get a good look at the other ear, but I'm pretty sure she has an infection in both ears because the way she is holding them. So, I've been keeping her druged up between motrin and tylenol and started her on the antibiotics. She has her 9 month check up on the 15th so we'll see how she is doing then. I'm going to have to make sure I keep a close eye on her, I'm hoping this is just a 1 time thing, but if she follows her brother, she will end up with several then tubes, which aren't such a bad thing, my husband and I were talking today and both agreed that since Devin got his tubes in February, he has not been sick once when before, he was sick all the time! Anyway, here are a few pics from yesterday. Oh and my little peanut is only 14lbs!

Christmas is only 47 Sleeps away!

I've been doing some browsing on the net for some neat Christmas sites. This one is so cute, it's Santa's blog! You can even e-mail Santa on there and he will write back right away, it's so cool! And don't forget to Elf Yourself this year! You can't do that quite yet, but in just 4 days you can! Some people did some cute scrapbook pages last year with this. I didn't get a chance to do it, but I'm hoping this year I can! If anyone has any other cool sites, please feel free to leave the site address in the comment section! I hope you enjoy, and Happy Holidays!

I got some scrapping done this last weekend. This first one is Alyssa. nothing fancy, I got the lo from th ide deck.

Alyssa's 7 month page. I used OA.

Here is Jade at Bentleyville USA in 2005. I used Storybook, and PPDU on this one, also got the lo from the idea deck.

This one is Jade when he was only 3 playing with sponge bob ants in my pants game, I used Street sign on this lo.

Thats all for now. I'm hopinf to do more this weekend while hubby is out hunting! Thanks for looking! As always comments welcome!

Devin turns 2!

Well, my little Devin turns 2 on Thursday! I took him yesterday to Sears to get his pictures done. I'm pleased with the outcome, but wasn't so happy with what we had to put up with at the store to get the outcome. Anyway, here are some of the images they put online for you to preview before you get your order.

Trick~OR~Treat!

We took the kids to the Miller Hill Mall for some Trick or Treating. Jade was Superman, Devin was Tigger and Alyssa was a little Bumble Bee. We let Devin walk since there wasn't as many people there as we had expected and boy did he have a blast! Alyssa was pretty pooped out and slept almost the entire time. They got plenty of candy for all of us. Of course Dad is excited because he has some to bring hunting with him this coming weekend!

Scrambled Eggs

So the other night we decided we wanted eggs, bacon, sausage and toast for dinner, Shane cooked up the bacon and sausage first. Jade wanted scrambled eggs so instead of cleaning out the pan, Shane cracked 2 eggs and added water! ICK! he scrambled them and they looked so nasty because of all the bacon grease! I had to take a pic. We were laughing so hard! I talked him into throwing them out and I made them the correct way. Now tell me, which ones would you rather eat?

Party Invites and Decorations

I finished up Devin's Party invites and his "Happy Birthday" banner today, I'm very pleased with the way the banner tuned out! I used Mickey Font for the entire thing, then just cut little triangles of paper and used eyelets and my crop-a-dile to hook them all together. His invites is also Mickey Font, New Arrival, and Cuttin Up I think. His party is going to be Mickey and Friends. I still have a few more things to do, but need to wait to get the Mickey and Friends cart from my friend before I can start on the rest. Sorry the pics for the invites are blurry, I took a few and these are the ones that turned out the best.

I got quite a bit done last weekend!

Just a very simple layout of Jade when he was younger playing at the park.

Here is Devin and Jade's layouts for their books from last year trick or treating. Devin was a cow and Jade a fire fighter. A lot of people thought Devin was a Dalmation, you know how dalmations seem to be the fire fighter's dog... well, cute idea, but he's a cow :)

Here are the kids from last year again carving pumpkins.

Here is Jade and Devin at Boo at the Zoo last year, I figured I'd better get last years halloween pages done pretty soon because this year is creaping up pretty fast!

Well, I got some scrapping done last weekend, I almost finished up our zoo trips from August, I just have the zebra pages left to do. I didn't do too much cricut on them, but the fonts are from Zoobaloo. The animal shapes are actually made out of wood. I bought them at Wal-Mart in the craft section. Aren't they cute!?!?

DH got a hold of my camera!

As I was uploading pics from my camera of boo at the zoo.. I found these! He took them after he got my camera from the van for me so I could upload my pics. I told him I was going to put them here on my blog and he didn't believe me, but he's got another thing coming! LOL

Boo at the Zoo

Yesterday we took the kids to Boo at the Zoo, we had a good time trick or treating and looking at all the animals! I took Jade and Devin on a Hay ride, Shane stayed back with Alyssa since she was sleeping in the stroller.

Alyssa's 7 month Picture

Well, here it is, I may do another one today because I didn't relize that it's the same exact outfit I used in her 6 month picutre, she also needs a bath, she has pop tart in her hair from Devin! I know I'm a week late, but she wasn't feeling well.

Alyssa is 7 Months old!

Well, yesterday Alyssa was 7 months old! Wow has time gone by so fast! She isn't feeling good again, she's been fevering off and on all day yesterday and so far today, her highest temp yesterday was 103! I almost took her in to the ER last night, but then the motrin kicked in. I'm going to be calling her Dr today and see if we can get in today or tomorrow to see her. I'm worried that she may have an ear infection, this is the exact thing that Devin did when he was a baby. It's only been a month since her last cold. She has been resting lots, but she is very clingy. I'm hoping I can take her 7 month pictures today while the motrin is kicked in, but we'll see, I may wait a few days so that she is more smiley.

Jade had a long weekend this last weekend so he is excited this morning to get back to school and see his friends. He keeps telling me he's going to tell Brody about his time at Grandma's this last weekend.

Devin hit 23 months yesterday, only 1 more month and my little guy is going to be 2! He's been feeling good, since we got the tubes in his ears, I think he has only gotten sick once with a cold.

We turned on our furnace Sunday, I called the light/water/gas company on Friday and got put on the budget plan so I'm not going to freeze this winter! Last year I wouldn't let the heat go up past 71 in here, which is plenty warm for most of us, but if anyone knows me well, they know that I get very cold in the winter, if I could have it 80 in here, I would! Isn't it funny how in the summer, we pay to keep our house cool, but in the winter, we pay to warm it up?!?!

Well, gotta get the kiddo's breakfast now and get Jade off to school. I hope everyone is enjoying all the Fall colors!

I did some scrappin this weekend!

Well, I got to some scrappin this weekend thanks to the MB and SueGiddens, she posted these great cards with different layouts on them so I did a couple of them. You can see more about that here

This one is my DD when she was born, I think this is the final pictures I have of her in the hospital. No Cricut on this one, the primas are from Cafe Prima.

Here is my oldest DS, I brought him to Sears for his 6 year pictures/1st grade pictures because I hate the way the school ones turn out. I used Locker Talk for the "1st grade" and the Gradeschool stack for paper. The border around the picture is a border from Sears.

This is the other pose I choose from the Sears Pictures. No cricut here either. I used the Fall stack for the paper. Just basic, not too fancy, but sometimes that's nice too.

Thanks for looking! Feel free to leave comments and don't forget to sign my guestbook at the bottom if you haven't already!

Never Ending Card

This is my first time posting a video so I hope this works! This is my take on the Never Ending Card. It is my first time making one so I just used simple white cardstock and some old Christmas Stickers I had. Now that I know how to do it, I look forward to making more and jazzing them up a little bit! Thanks for looking! OH, and yes, that is my DD Alyssa sitting in her bumbo in the backround, she just LOVES to sit there with me and watch me scrap!

Tech Support

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 ;uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as
· Romance 9.5 and
· Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as

· NBA 5.0,
· NFL 3.0 and
· Golf Clubs 4.1..

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

· Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind,
· Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while
· Husband 1.0 is an operating system.
Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6..2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.
· If that application works as designed, Husband 1..0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2..0 and Flowers 3.5

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.
· Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 < FONT> (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend
· Cooking 3.0 and
· Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Waterfall Card

This is my first attempt to the waterfall card, I had lots of fun making this! I used the directions off of youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3owXJxuVNWY very super easy! she explains everything and the nice thing is you can pause it as needed. The "Happy Halloween" paper is from last years DCWV Fall Stack. The spider and pumpkin stamps I just got today from the dollar spot bins at Target, I don't have any fancy colored pencils or pens so I used my son's good old crayola markers and they worked out great! The brads are also from the dollar spot at Target. When you open the card, there is a stamp inside that just says "Happy Haloween" I didn't take a pic of that, but it sure turned out cute! I can't wait to experement more with all the fun cards people are coming up with!

Cold season is here!

Well, the last 3 nights Alyssa has kept me up pretty much all night crabby and wants to be held, she was running a slight fever yesterday. Grampa was here today to watch her and Devin and he got her to sleep and she's been slepping now for 3 hours, which is well needed for her. Devin was running a temp yesterday too, he's been doing much better. Jade started caughing a few days ago and now today, he's all stuffy and sounds horrible. It's rainy and icky here today which doesn't help with anyone's mood. Shane and I have been feeling fine, just tired from having Alyssa keep us up all night. I got her 6 month pictures done the other day at sears, they turned out OK, this was the day before she was showing that she wasn't feeling well, so I'm guessing she didn't feel well that day either because she was not smiling for anything. I'm hoping to get some scrapping in this weekend.

Alyssa at 5 months

Well, my baby girl is 6 months old already, I've been doing pretty good at keeping up with her scrapbook along with the boys. Here is her 5 month page I just finished up. I've been taking pictures of her every month with that blanket and doll that my grandma made for her. It shows how much she's grown every month compared to the doll.

Devin got his hair cut!

Well, I took Devin to get his 2nd ever hair cut, hoping that it would go a lot better than the first. I went to a different place this time, and they were a lot nicer and more understanding. He did GREAT! he did try to brush her hand away a couple of times, but he did not once cry like the first time, he was so upset he couldn't barley breath by the time we were done.

First Day of 1st Grade!

Here he is in front of his school

Jade and his teacher, Mrs. Daube

On our way!

Well, the day came and went. He was super excited to go see his old friends and meet new friends. We got to go the day before the full first day to meet his teacher and get all his stuff set up at his table. He had a great first day, he wanted me to come in with him which I was able to cause daddy had the day off so he was watching the babies. I got some cute pictures of him walking out to the van and into the school all the way to his classroom. I didn't cry this year, but of course sad to see my baby back in school. We kept Devin busy all day so he wasn't really affected by it, but today might be a different story. It'll take some getting used to for him.

A day of Scrapping

Well yesterday I got an entire day of scrapping in! I actually accomplished quite a bit however, I think I could have gotten more done if I didn't get sucked into Guitar Hero! Anyway, Alyssa wanted to join us, so I set her up in her Bumbo in the middle of the table, she LOVED it!

New Addition to the "Family"

Well, we went to wal-mart today, hubby talked me into getting the Aerosmith Guitar Hero, we went ahead and got the entire thing, new guitar and the game. Now we have 2 guitars so we can battle eachother. It's a lot of fun and very addicting! Hubby and I both beat Guitar Hero III on Easy and Medium now so we are going to take a break from that one and play the Aerosmith one. I haven't really done a lot on the WII fit latley, but I think once winter comes again and it's too cold to take the kids out, I'll get back to it. I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day Weekend!

Just a note

Nothing really new going on over here this last week. Just calming down from our busy week last week. Going to do some visiting today and a little shopping at Sam's Club. I'm hoping to find some neat scrapping stuff while we are there. Jade is getting really excited for school to start. His open house is Tuesday and his first full day will be Wednesday. Alyssa is almost 6 months old now, she loves to squeal and scream, it's cute though. Devin is almost 22 months and learning to talk more and more every day. I will be scrapping all day tomorrow so I should have some new pics of stuff to put up this comming week.

Busy Week!

Well, it's been a busy week, Friday the 22nd was my oldest DS's 6th Brithday, my mom came down on Wednesday to spend some time with us. We had a birthday party for him, and it was rainy and windy out so we ended up having to have it in the house. We all had fun though. Saturday was our first wedding anniversary. We got up early, packed the kids up and headed down to the Twin Cities for a day at the Minnesota Zoo. We had a great time seeing all the different animals they have. We even got a chance to ride the monorail before we left for the day. Sunday we checked out of the hotel pretty early and went out for breakfast, which is something we don't do very often anymore now that we have 3 kids, after breakfast we were on a mission to find a J's because I was not leaving the cities without the new Fall stacks! I did find them both for only 9.99, I also of course got a few other things. then we were on the way to the Como Zoo. That one isn't as big as the Minnesota Zoo, but they have different animals there so we had just as much fun! We were there for about 3 hours or so then started the trip back home. It was a long week, but we had tons of fun. We made it home safe and sound and even before it started getting dark.

My first Explosion box!

Here is my very first Explosion box, it turned out OK, I know where I made the mistakes on it so I will be sure to be more careful next time. Ummm, I don't know what more to write about it. umm, the pics are of my DD. OK, that's all for now, thanks for looking!

My Scrapping Area (Dining Room!)

Here is some pics I took of my little area I get to scrap in, it's also our dining room. I've been trying to keep it to a minimal because of where it is, but it just keeps growing and growing! The first one is the table, I get a corner to keep my stuff on, of course when I scrap, the entire thing is covered! The 2nd one is my "Junk" corner, the 3rd one is the right side of my wired cubes, the top cube holds half of my carts, and my primas, next shelf holds my completed or uncompleted pages, the next one down holds picture albums and a 3 ring binder where I keep all my stickers in proctive covers, makes it easy to flip threw and find what I'm looking for, and the bottom is my cardstock and my stacks. The next picture is the left side of my cubes, the top holds the other half of my carts and ribbon, next cube has little buckets of either ribbon or pens and my storage for brads/eyelets/etc, the next cube is photo boxes with more pictures and the bottom has magizines. Finally the last Picture is another shelf, I got this one from walmart for 10 bucks, the top holds my punches, a basket that I put different things in untill I can get them put away, and my cm pouch thingie, next shelf is my E which fits PERFECT! the next shelf, the orange tin holds all my stickles, the green lunchbox holds my clear stamps and then my cuttlebug, and finally the bottom shelf is just "junk". Thanks for looking! I can't wait to be able to have my own scrap room so I can expand!

Challange Layout

Here is a layout I did for the Chirper Challange, I used Cuttin Up for the font. I still need to add the journaling. I always save that for the last because I never know what to write! I used a little bit of stickles in there too, kinda hard to see from the picture though.

Been a while

well, it's been a while since I've gotten a chance to blog anything. Summer's here so when I'm not working, I've been out with the kids. I've managed to get a few lo's done in the last couple weeks, but I only have 1 picture. My computer crashed about a week ago and I had to have hubby fix that, then right after it was fixed, the power cord went so I had to wait a week for the new one to come in the mail. Anyway, here's my latest lo. Sorry about the Glare, I tried 3 different pictues and this was the best one. I hope everyone has a great weekend! It's suposed to be really nice and warm here!

Wii and Wii Fit!

So yeah, I didn't want this thing, until I was over at my friends house and she got one, she was showing us everything it does and stuff, then hubby had to go to best buy and they had one on display to play with, we played for a few minutes and then I was on a mission to find one. We went to every electronic/game store in 2 towns that we could think of and of course every place was sold out! I decided to jump on e-bay and see if I could find a decient deal, I had a 10% off coupon to use up. I ended up getting the Wii for $284.60, ouch! they sell for $249.99 + tax in stores! and I got the Wii fit for $168.99!!! OUCH!!! those sell for 89.99 + tax in stores! OMG! that's a lot of money! but I was on a mission and I really wanted one, so I went for it. So now just gotta wait for it to come in the mail then start to have some fun!

I got it!

he he, OK so I found this really cool site http://www.pimp-my-profile.com/ that has backrounds for blogger! that's where I found this one :)

Help me!

OK, so I'm still trying to figure out some stuff on here. Can someone please explain to me how to get the pretty backrounds and all that fun stuff? The only thing I can find are the templates that Google offers.

I'm still working on getting the RAK together, I'm thinking I might have to wait a couple more weeks for that because of not working quite yet, I want it to be something nice and be able to ship it right away after picking the winner. Still anyone who leaves a comment will be put into the drawing, it just won't take place for at least 2 more weeks.
Well, it's lunch time so gotta go make something for the kiddies, the off to the park for a bit, it's so nice outside today! Everyone Enjoy! I'm hoping I can figure out more on this soon! :)

Never done this before

Hi All, I've finally decided to create a blog after reading many from the Cricut MB (which is the best by the way) A little about me, I'm about to turn 26, I have 3 children, Jade, he's 5 1/2, Devin, he's 1 1/2 and Alyssa, she's 2 1/2 months. I'm married to the man of my dreams, Shane. We've been together for 3 years this summer. I work for UnitedHealth Care from my home, I've been there for 4 years this month (May) and I really enjoy it. I love to spend time with my family, we go to the movies, camping, Geo Caching, and spend time at home with each other. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE to scrapbook! That's what I do in most of my free time and what I spend all my extra money on! I started about 5 years ago with Crayola Markers and construction paper and have grown to having totes and shelves and taken over my dinning room with scrapbooking stuff!

In honor of my new blog, I'm going to be putting together a RAK for anyone who leaves comments on it. This will be my first RAK ever, and I'm super excited about it! Pictures to come as I learn how to do that kind of stuff :)

Thanks everyone for looking! Hopefully I'll be posting more soon!
